1.      Various methodologies
2.      Current mathematics research and theory- 10 Best Teaching Practices by Tileston and Understanding the Math You Teach by Burris
3.      Common core curriculum standards- Every assignment should be centered around the new Math Common Core standards
4.      Math resources: websites, online games, books
5.     Role of the family and/or caregivers in young children’s understanding of math concepts and activities that can support learning- You can reach families through website lessons, videos, power point tutorials, and  math games

Skills: (use the knowledge)
1.      Create developmentally appropriate math lessons based on the common core standards
2.      Locate and critically evaluate math resources
3.      Develop interactive and meaningful learning based on math concepts

Dispositions: (attitudes)                                       
1.      Value dignity and unique contributions of each child and his/her caregiver within the early childhood learning environment.
2.      Value the role of math content in young children’s lives and appreciate that the investigations of mathematics are an integral part of the constructivist environment
